Located in the picturesque village of Trowse, overlooking the green, but just twenty minutes walk from Norwich city centre. Established since 2011, River Green cookery school and restaurant offers a relaxed environment within which to enjoy freshly made delicious food centred on local seasonal produce. The dishes are casual in style and made without meat or animal products. Most of the menu is available gluten free, and other allergies and intolerances are well catered for. Large selection of vegan and organic wines and local beers.
Chef Chris Avey offers vegan cookery classes and workshops in the dedicated teaching kitchen. The venue also hosts Chef's Table private dining, as well as special events.

After the successful launch of our cookery school kitchen early in 2018 we have more dates and sessions, with more to come for 2019. If there's anything you'd particularly like to learn that we haven't covered yet, email a suggestion to us and we'll try to build a session round it!
There are themed workshops and whole day courses. We also host kid's cookery courses (kids can bring an adult for free!)
Each course has up to six participants in our new teaching kitchen. It comes with a recipe pack, and there will always be something to take home. Refreshments are provided and the day courses include lunch, which you will help to make!
