We first opened our doors in 1990 in what was once a 19th Century Victorian shoe factory. Many first time diners (or even regulars!)are not aware of the origins of our name which refers to the moulds or "Lasts" used to make the shoes. The restaurant is situated in the heart of one of the oldest areas of Norwich, a quick walk to the city centre, to the famous Cathedral & Castle Museum & right next door to the Playhouse Theatre & Cinema city. We have 3 distinctive dining areas. The Bar area retains many original features from the Shoe factory, The Ground floor restaurant offers a slghtly more formal, spacious alternative & the Downstairs restaurant is ideal for private functions or intimate dining.
Our food is based on our love for classic well-cooked dishes as well as a desire to be fresh & innovative.
