Our Aim is to produce high quality eggs to the highest possible welfare standards. We believe to achieve this birds must be well looked after and well fed and only given medicines when they are ill, not to make them grow faster or produce more eggs. The birds are all fed GM-Free diets and are fed no artificial yolk colourants. We believe that no part of the animal husbandry we use, we should be ashamed of or be unable to justify to members of the public.
We have farmed in Great Snoring since 1847 and we are the 5th generation of Perownes to farm. Our farm was the first farm in Norfolk to win the Laurent-Perrier award for Game Conservation. The farm was involved in the pilot scheme of Countryside Stewardship in 1991 and is now involved in the Higher Level Stewardship, offering a 2 mile circuit walk around the farm. Our farm also came runner-up in the Tenant Farmer of the Year.
